Berries are full of flavour yet still low in sugar. They also contain anthocyanins which may support our nervous and cardiovascular systems in the body. They are also full of vitamin C, fibre and potassium just to name a few.
Chia Seeds: These tiny seeds are packed full of protein, fibre, and omega 3 which is crucial for managing our inflammation levels in our bodies. A nutritionists favourite!
Ingredients (makes 1 large smoothie or 2 small children sized ones)
1 ½ handfuls of fresh or frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries)
1 cup of spinach
1 tablespoon gelatine powder (optional)
1 cup of coconut water
1 dessertspoon of chia seeds
Handful of ice cubes if desired
Place all ingredients in a blender and blitz. Serve straightaway!
